Air Ride (空気戦闘甲冑(エア・ライド), Ea Raido) is an invention of Charlotte in order to provide aerial combat for Slayers.

Description

In preparation for their eventual arrival into spatial age via the eventual completion of the Lunaltia Base on the moon, which granted Charlotte came up with the idea of Slayers equipment that lets them soar through the skies. Air Rides works through having variable stones inserted into them and the energies of slayers imbued into them letting them float in the air and even attack, as well as resembling armor that covers the bodies of slayers with mechanical wings on their backs.

Similar to the variable suits, there are varied colored Air Rides that are unique to the slayer who is operating them: Hayato's is black and Emilia's is white.

Each of the Air Rides is equipped with a Thruster (推進装置(すいしん そうち), Suishin Sōchi, lit. "Propulsion Device"), which lets Slayers infuse energy into them to propel themselves forward.

Variations

Divers (水中甲冑(すいちゅう かっちゅう), Suichū Katchū, lit. "Underwater Armor") is a variation of the Air Ride, which is mostly used to dive underwater to deal with savages who escaped in either the ocean or water. Unlike the usual Air Rides, the wearer is also equipped with helmets and compressed gas cylinders, which provides them with oxygen as long as their energy doesn't wear out.
